Piippo Hydraulic -valves meet the hightest standards

The valves from Piippo Hydraulic are designed and produced in Finland to meet the highest standards. Excellent quality and serviceability are important features, highly appreciated by our customers. We have focused on directional control valves and related products, which we supply in various sizes for use in small mobile work machines and up to large valves for the process industry. We deliver both to industrial OEM manufacturers and to private customers, e.g., entrepreneurs and haulage contractors.

We keep a large amount of finished and semi-finished products in stock, which means we are able to supply for example our industrial customers on demand. This solution also increases efficiency, as machining and surface treatment can be made in large series, but the final versions are made according to the customer’s specifications.

Modern production technology such as CAD/CAM and CNC systems and quality check without any compromises will guarantee flawless function. All spindle valves are manually assembled individually by honing the block to create a tight pair, which has considerably less leakage than mechanically assembled blocks. The spindle leakage frequency is clearly lower in valves from Piippo Hydraulic than in general. All valves are tested after assembly and before delivery.

Piippo Hydraulic was founded in 1986. Our main markets outside our home market Finland are the Nordic countries, the Baltic region, Poland, and Germany. We have exported our products to more than 20 countries in three continents. The share of export is around a third of our annual turnover. Our premises are located in Hankasalmi, in the middle of Finland.

Design of hydraulics

We also offer design services for the hydraulic valves and blocks we deliver. Still, we are not a design office, making hydraulic design for products manufactured elsewhere. 

We assist our customers in solving problems associated with hydraulics. Many times, we are able to suggest a simpler, cheaper, and better operating solution to replace the current valve. The lion’s share of our delivered valve solutions is tailor made according to the needs of our customer, for example by combining several functions into the same valve block. Commonly these solutions are realised by connecting hoses between several standard layout valves. Our solution is to create a multi-function block. In this case unnecessary hoses and connectors are eliminated, assembly will be easier and faster - less components mean less leakage.
